Portugal itinerary

Here is the Portugal itinerary. It's not as bad as Kristina says :) The most travelling will be done on day two, from there on it's just sightseeing, relaxing, enjoying.

Now the more thorough planning begins. I will start with transportation, accomodation, then sights to see in each of the selected locations, some festivals and a very rough estimate of budget (maybe we can start guessing? :) ).

Itinerary:
14.9. - Relaxing in Lagos
15.9. - Visit Estremoz, travel to Evora
16.9. - Evora, travel to Lisbon
17.9. - Day trip to Sintra, visit Cabo da Roca
18.9. - Visit Cascais, Mafra, travel to Obidos or Peniche
19.9. - Relaxing, sightseeing, Peniche maybe?
20.9. - Visit Alcobaca/Batalha/Fatima, travel to Coimbra
21.9. - Coimbra
22.9. - Travel to Porto
23.9. - Trip to Douro valley
24.9. - Visit Braga or Guimaraes
25.9. - Porto, travel to Lisbon
26.9. - Lisbon
27.9. - Lisbon + fly home in the afternoon

Love the plan! ;) When will you have time for relaxing a bit? :)) I'd probably die of exhaustion on the 3rd or 4th day :)))

It's a rough plan, it doesn't mean we will stick to it 100%. That's why we won't reserve anything in advance. It gives us more freedom like this. If we feel tired or if we really like one of the places mentioned we can stay there longer. Also some unforseen events might occur and we will have to quickly adjust the plan accordingly.

And if we don't find accommodation we can always sleep on a bench in the park *rolleyes* :))

Lovely itenerary! You have choosen the right places :) I'm only not sure about 19.9 where you think about spending the day in Peniche because it doesn't have much to see, at least not for a all day. The trip in the Douro valley it's beautifull, I've never done it but I know it is wonderfull.
In Lisbon you have lot's of things to see like the Castel, many museums, the cathedral (my fav), the down town, the new part of the city: nations park where expo98 took place and in there you have the Aquarium (where I worked :)). On thing, the museums close at mondays and some important touristic places too. In Coimbra you have to visit the university and the library. In Braga you have "Bom Jesus de Braga" which is beautifull. Alcobaça, Batalha and Mafra are places the you have to see for sure and I'm happy to see then on your itenerary.
Gosh I've written soo much :)

It's nice to hear that my plan sound lovely to someone who lives in Portugal :)

I heard that there are nice beaches in Peniche, so we would just go there to relax a bit or just make a short trip.

We will be in Sintra and Braga/Guimaraes on monday, so I'll have to check if any of the places that we inted to visit are closed.

You didn't write too much, tnx for the tips and please keep posting. We appreciate it :D
