Photo of the day: Marrakech

Street scene in Marrakech, Morocco. We'll be arriving to Marrakech on September 5, late evening and travel to the medina (city center). Hopefully we'll find some kind of accomodation for the night and the following days. After a sleepless night at the airport, a bed will certainly feel alright.

And if it's too hot to sleep inside, hotels do offer accomodation on matresses on hotel terraces for a lousy 25 dh a person (that's a bit less than 2,5 €), breakfast included with coffee.

We'll be staying in Marrakech a couple of days and hopefuly do a 2-day trip to the Western Sahara desert from there as well.

What can I say about Marrakech? A place where all of your senses reel, where the sounds, scents and sights intertwine to deliver an incredible experience that you will never forget. We landed in Marrakech, Morocco late at night and took in the hustle and bustle of the city throughout the adventurous ride to the riad (a traditional Marrakech property with an interior garden), where we stayed for two nights. Throughout our stay, we had the opportunity to sample a variety of tagines, including lamb, chicken and vegetable. All were unique and delicious, full of fresh ingredients and local seasonings! And visited a lot of interesting places, which must seen!
It was wonderful trip!
