Port is fortified wine which means that during the fermentation process aguardente (pure wine alcohol) of 77% is added. That stops the fermentation process, makes the wine more sweet and results in a stronger wine (about 19-22%). Tasting Port wine while in Porto is a must and we don't plan to skip it :)Tuesday, August 28, 2007

Na-ah! :) Tasting Port is certainly a must in our itinerary.
Hell, we're gonna empty the backpack and fill it with Port bottles :))
I wrote that we DON'T plan to skip it.
PS: Just one glass for you, it's pretty strong wine. I won't carry you on my back!
So that means no glass for you?
You're twice the size I am and I won't even drag you around. Don't say you have not be warned :)
Anyway, one glass PER HOUR it's ok :P
I'll probably just taste it. As you know wine isn't my favourite drink. Maybe Port can change my mind, but I doubt it.
